Maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation are prerequisites for every modern business. To this end, luxury yacht manufacturer Princess Yachts International plc has once again selected Red One to provide essential Fire Warden training to their staff at their plant in Plymouth, Devon.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that the employer or business owner, as the ‘responsible’ person, has overall responsibility for fire safety but “must appoint one or more competent persons to assist him in undertaking the preventative and protective measures.” (paragraph 18). Red One will shortly be delivering its Institution of Fire Engineers approved Fire Wardens and Practical Fire Extinguisher training courses to 55 staff at the Princess Yachts factory.
Our Fire Warden course provides essential information for staff required to perform Fire Safety roles within offices, factories or any other business premises. This ISO9001 quality assured course is presented in a clear and simple style and its learning outcomes are closely aligned to the National Occupational Standards (Level 2) for Fire Wardens / Marshals.
Highly experienced, knowledgeable and friendly Red One trainers blend a traditional lecture with practical training in the correct selection and use of fire extinguishers, enabling staff to perform their Fire Warden role safely, competently and with confidence.
Chris Thain, Red One’s Director of Business Development said: “Helping our clients maintain a safe working environment for their staff is the most important outcome of all the training that we provide – safety is the beginning and end of everything that we do. We are delighted to continue our close collaboration with Princess Yachts and we very much look forward to delivering this vital training over the next weeks and months.”
