Specialist Water Rescue

Our Water Rescue programme offers training at internationally accredited standards in partnership with Rescue 3 Europe, the leading global technical rescue training agency, for all levels of technical rope and water rescue training.Rescue 3 Europe

As part of our service strategy for water work, we already provide this training for our own fire crews and other fire and rescue services. We have also provided support to film companies, who have used our crews for consultation during their filming.

In addition to our core water rescue programme, Access & Rescue School are able to offer bespoke training to meet clients specific needs.  This can include water structure risk awareness, courses for waterways workers and life jacket/safety advice courses for individuals or groups working on or near to water.

With exclusive access to excellent facilities at the River Dart Country Park, we can offer our course delegates a fantastic natural training environment as well as superb lecture and accommodation provisions.

Large Animal Rescue

Animal incidents are one of the most common situations where members of the public and firefighters may place themselves in positions of danger with little knowledge of the implications of their actions.

Our established Animal Rescue courses, developed in consultation with national veterinary organisations, offer a practical learning environment in which to gain knowledge of how to respond to physical entrapments or situations where humans may be in direct danger from animals.

Coupling the ‘real rescue’ experience of our instructors with theoretical and veterinary knowledge makes this course particularly popular with other Fire & Rescue Services and veterinary surgeons, although these courses are also ideal for anyone directly involved in the equine industry, farming of other associated areas where contact with large animals is common.
