Who is this course for?

This five day course is ideal for delegates intending to use rope access techniques as a way of getting to a workplace. 

Course requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Medically fit and healthy

Course content

The course details the requirements of the new BS ISO 22846, the international standard covering the fundamentals of rope access. During this course, delegates will be able to build their own suspension system under the guidance of a qualified Rope Access Supervisor.

Training will be provided in basic movements on rope including ascent, descent, rope transfer, deviations, backup systems, simple rescue, rigging and rope management.  

Assessment & certification
Assessment is by practical observation and written test.
