Our Specialist Expertise
Leading the way in Firefighter Training
With unique training facilities and expert instructors to provide the most current in depth firefighter training, Firefighter School have provided training to staff from more than fifty UK and International Fire & Rescue Services. Our quality assured courses are constantly reviewed and updated, incorporating lessons learned from real incidents to ensure the most up-to-date and relevant learning for our delegates.
Expertise in CAF Training
The introduction and use of Compressed Air Foam (CAF) is increasing across UK FRS, however the ability to effectively train with this media is limited for environmental reasons. Firefighter School training facilities are approved by the Environment Agency for Class A (CAF) and Class B Foam training and we can offer unrivaled instruction and training to ensure staff proficiency, safety and efficacy when they arrive at an incident.
Unique Experience in Wildfire Training
The unique ecological geography of Devon & Somerset, which includes the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor, has enabled our service to develop an unparallelled understanding of moorland and grassland wildfires and how best to manage fires in these environments. Our Wildfire training courses can be presented as a module within an initial firefighter training program or offered to FRS as a stand-alone module.
These courses explore the challenges faced by Fire & Rescue Services in dealing with protracted wildfire incidents as well as emphasising safe systems of work at a practitioner level.
